NDIS Support Workers in Brisbane
Northside, southside, bayside and the Redlands. A small, founder-led team for self- and plan-managed plans — here is what working with us in Brisbane actually looks like.

Who we are
Keystone Community Care is a small NDIS support provider based in Brisbane, founded and run by Heidi Griffiths. When you call, you talk to Heidi — not a call centre. We keep the team small on purpose so the families we support know us by name and we know them the same way.
Straight up: we are not an NDIS-registered provider. That is why we work with self-managed and plan-managed participants, who can choose any provider. If your plan is NDIA-managed you need a registered provider, and we will tell you that on the first call rather than waste your time.
ABN 48 691 121 525. Every worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening clearance and First Aid/CPR, and we carry public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Ask and we will show you the certificates.
Where in Brisbane we work
We would rather cover three parts of Brisbane properly than list every postcode in South East Queensland. If you are roughly inside the Gateway–Ipswich Motorway ring, we cover you.
- Inner city and northside — Chermside, Aspley, Kedron, Wavell Heights, Nundah, Stafford. The Prince Charles Hospital and Westfield Chermside are the usual landmarks in a week.
- Southside — Mount Gravatt, Holland Park, Sunnybank, Eight Mile Plains, Coorparoo. Griffith University, Garden City and the busway.
- Bayside and the Redlands — Carindale, Carina, Wynnum, Capalaba, Cleveland. This is where a lot of our week already happens.
We do not currently cover Ipswich or Logan. Just outside the ring? Call — sometimes it works, and we will tell you honestly if it does not.
What support looks like in Brisbane
The four things NDIS core supports pay for are help at home, getting out and about, transport, and everyday skills. In Brisbane, with us, that has looked like:
- Boccia with the Redlands Rebels. We are the sponsor and support crew behind the team. Game days at the Sporting Wheelies hall, the medals, the trophy photo — that is Heidi and Danielle in the photo on our home page.
- The Story Bridge climb. A participant's bucket-list day. Harnesses, the climb, the city behind you. Support is not only shifts at home.
- Christmas lunch, Grinch shirts and all. The whole crew, once a year.
- The ordinary weeks. A morning routine on the northside. A lift to The Prince Charles or the PA and back. Cooking on a Tuesday. A quiet shop at Garden City. Learning the bus to Griffith. Most of the work is this, and it matters just as much.
You will not get a rotating roster of strangers. We match one worker to you on personality, skills, where they live and how you like to spend your days. If it is not clicking, we change it.
How to check a provider is legit
There are people in this industry who should not be in it. Whether you choose us or someone else, ask for these five things before anyone starts. A good provider will not flinch.
- An ABN you can look up. Ours is 48 691 121 525 — check it on the ABN Lookup site. If a provider will not give you one, walk away.
- NDIS Worker Screening for every worker, plus a Blue Card where they work with children. Ask to see the clearance, and ask who tracks the expiry dates.
- Insurance. Public liability and professional indemnity. Ask for the certificate of currency.
- Rates against the price guide. Every provider must stay at or below the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. If the rates are not in writing, or are above the guide, that is your answer.
- A service agreement and a complaints pathway. One plain-English document that says what, when, how much and how to stop — and a way to complain that is not just "talk to us". Ours points to the NDIS Commission on our complaints page.
What it costs
At or below the NDIS price limits, always in writing before the first shift. No sign-up fee, no minimum hours, no lock-in. Self-managed: we invoice you and you claim it back through the portal. Plan-managed: we invoice your plan manager. The detail — cancellations, travel, invoices — is on our pricing page.
How it starts
- A ten-minute chat with Heidi — same or next business day. Call 0403 886 293 or send a message.
- A free meet-and-greet with the worker before you commit to anything.
- A simple service agreement you can end any time.
- Support starts — usually within one to two weeks.
Not sure your plan type works with us? The one-minute check will tell you.
Questions people ask
Which parts of Brisbane do you cover?
The inner city and northside (Chermside, Aspley, Kedron, Nundah), the southside (Mount Gravatt, Holland Park, Sunnybank, Eight Mile Plains) and bayside and the Redlands (Carindale, Wynnum, Cleveland, Capalaba). Roughly inside the Gateway–Ipswich Motorway ring. We do not currently cover Ipswich or Logan — call and we will be honest about the edges.
Are you an NDIS-registered provider?
No — we are an unregistered provider. That is why we work with self-managed and plan-managed participants, who can choose any provider. If your plan is NDIA-managed you need a registered provider and we will tell you so straight away.
How much does a support worker cost in Brisbane?
We charge at or below the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits — the same caps every provider must follow. You get our rate card in writing before the first shift. There is no sign-up fee, no minimum term and no lock-in.
How quickly can support start?
Usually within one to two weeks of your first call: a ten-minute chat with Heidi, a free meet-and-greet with the worker, a plain-English service agreement, then the first shift. If you need something sooner, say so and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.
Can I change my support worker?
Yes, any time. The right match matters more than our roster. Tell Heidi it is not clicking and we will rematch — no awkwardness, no fee.
